Design Process
The authority decided to relocate their operational wing head quarter. Their brief is to accommodate all their adjacent amenities and facilities within a five storey building. Including the basic and primary programs , we had to design spaces for the offices , conference and multipurpose usage. The authority also want the structure as a landmark of the whole complex as well as it will be one of a kind.
The site is a bare land beside a natural pond having its own scenic beauty in the midst of the green land.
At the concept level, we decided to work with the form of a vintage air craft. The whole structure will be floating on a water body as a giant air vessel. The main pathway will guide through a corridor floating on the water body below.
We tried to make the spaces more serene and peaceful. Passing a hectic day, when a officer enter into the building, his mind will be stress free after getting through the spaces which will lead him to a calm environment.
